It’s the end of the year, and we’re taking stock of our blessings. We’ve been fortunate again this year to have a thriving business, great clients, and the opportunity to support important causes from World Bicycle Relief to the Arthritis Foundation’s California Coast Classic and All Kids Bike.
And just as we’ve done for the past 10+ years, we continue our longstanding support for the Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiative, which has invested more than $4.5 million into outdoor recreation over the past decade ensuring there are open and sustainable areas for us all to recreate.
This year Yamaha stepped up big for a couple of important causes, including the #RecreateResponsibly campaign raising $50,000 to help maintain access to the beauty and wonder of nature for everyone, as well as sponsoring six schools in Georgia and California to receive the All Kids Bike program. We’ve been supporting All Kids Bike since late 2020, and we believe wholeheartedly in their mission to get bike riding into every public school kindergarten PE class in the country.
Huge recognition to the Yamaha OAI review committee for having the vision to see how helping kids learn to ride bikes in schools is about more than bicycling – it’s about teaching them life skills, helping them build confidence to explore, getting them off their computers, and getting them outside to build confidence and explore.
If you’re in the #OutdoorRecreation industry, and you’re not already familiar with these great programs, we hope you’ll take some time to click on the links and learn a little more about them. How can you help? Tell a friend, start a fundraiser, sign up for a ride, tell your school principal … there are countless ways we can each contribute.
Thanks for reading, and Happy New Year!
